Your Questions, Answered

Pedicures

  • A specialist pedicure is a treatment-focused footcare service designed to help with cracked heels, dry skin, thick nails, ingrown toenails, and painful feet – while also improving the overall appearance and comfort of your feet.

I offer advanced pedicure treatments in Whitianga for clients wanting both healthy and well-cared-for feet.

  • A standard pedicure is mainly cosmetic, while an advanced pedicure focuses on foot health and ongoing foot concerns. My treatments are designed to help with problem feet, including cracked heels, thickened nails, dry skin, discomfort, and ingrown toenails, while still leaving your feet looking and feeling great. If you would like to add some colour, I offer shellac and nail polish options.

  • Yes – cracked heels, dry skin, painful feet, and thickened nails are some of the most common footcare concerns I treat. Treatments are tailored to your individual needs and can help improve both comfort and the appearance of your feet.

  • Please don’t be. Many clients come to me feeling self-conscious about cracked heels, damaged nails, or painful feet. Helping people feel comfortable, cared for, and confident again is a big part of what I do – with no judgement.

  • Yes. I offer CND Shellac for clients who would like colour applied after their pedicure. Shellac dries immediately, provides a long-lasting shine, helps protect and strengthen the nails, and typically lasts between 3–6 weeks. I use CND Shellac, which is considered one of the leading professional nail systems available.

If you prefer traditional nail polish, you're welcome to bring your own. For hygiene reasons, I do not provide shared nail polish, as this helps reduce the risk of fungal infections being passed between clients.

Please note that applying nail polish takes additional time, so the same charge applies as for a Shellac finish. If choosing traditional polish, please bring open-toed sandals or jandals to allow the polish to dry properly before you leave.

Not sure which option is best for you? Just ask during your appointment and I'll be happy to help.Item description

Dermapen – Skin Needling

  • Skin needling (Dermapen) is a collagen-stimulating treatment designed to support your skin’s natural repair process. It can help improve acne scars, pigmentation, uneven skin texture, fine lines, and sun-damaged skin for a smoother, fresher-looking complexion.

  • Dermapen skin needling treatments can help improve:

    • Acne scarring

    • Pigmentation

    • Uneven skin texture

    • Fine lines and wrinkles

    • Sun damage

    • Enlarged pores

    • Tired or dull-looking skin

  • Most clients find skin needling treatments very tolerable. A numbing cream can be applied before treatment to help minimise discomfort and make the procedure as comfortable as possible.

  • The number of Dermapen treatments recommended will depend on your skin concerns and desired results. Some clients notice improvements after one treatment, however a series of treatments is usually recommended for best results, especially for acne scarring and pigmentation concerns.

Permanent Makeup

  • Most clients find permanent makeup treatments very manageable. A numbing cream is applied during the procedure to help keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.

  • After your permanent makeup appointment, you may experience some mild redness or sensitivity, and the colour may initially appear slightly darker before softening during healing. I’ll provide full aftercare advice so you know exactly what to expect throughout the healing process.

  • Permanent makeup typically lasts between 1–3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, and the area treated. Over time, the pigment naturally softens and can be refreshed with maintenance appointments.

  • Yes – I specialise in natural-looking permanent makeup designed to softly enhance your features without looking harsh or overdone. Cosmetic tattooing treatments are customised to suit your face shape, colouring, and personal style.
